(please don't mind the dishes in the sink, our maid didn't know I was going to be taking photos)
I truly feel at home here, which is a big deal for me. I mean our last apt. was nice and comfy but to be able to send my boys out to a grassy area that is either safely enclosed or away to a neighbor is a freedom I haven't had before.
I've never had a tree to send my children to climb in or to pick fruit from. though of course, when there was fruit on the tree i didn't want Joe climbing in it, just because I knew he'd be picking the cherries.
I also have never had the opportunity to grow my own garden in my own dirt. Since we moved in, in June which is quite near the end of the planting season here, I was afraid that we wouldn't really get any sign of a "real" garden, but here's proof of our starter plants from Home Depot.
Here are some of the fruits of our labor:
We now have more than 8 pumpkins, 3 of which have already started turning orange and most are bigger than our heads
3 baby watermelons
Finally a photo of the front of our home, which when we looked at it, both Nate and I thought nothing could be better, but without the for sale sign and having cleaned up the sidewalks, NOW we know, it can't get better than this.

I still don't know the feeling of sending my kids out to a yard that's fenced in...or to climb a tree. Someday! It looks beautiful and I'm totally jealous. And yes, you do have a wonderful mother in law...I need some decorating tips from her too.
Fun to see your house!

love it... thanks for sharing. Now when we are playing Rock Band I have an image of the room you are in. And I am So jealous of the back yard.
Love your house! Your garden is awesome too! I must have a black thumb because ours didn't work out so well this year. I think it's in the wrong spot in our yard-not enough sun. Your boys are growing up so big too! Congrats on your baby girl. I'm excited for you!!
