Easter

what's really to tell about Easter, that you haven't already guessed? We had 3 hunts on 2 different days, on from the city that I stumbled on to by accident, and 1 at my mom's that wasn't by accident, and then the OTHER at my aunt and uncle's home which was a TOTAL surprise. Peter Cottontail (our bunny's name) spoiled the boys and Nate fairly well, well not really Nate, he just kinda got the leftover candy from the multi-packs and a tie. but the boys WOW! chocolate bunnies, sugar chickens, huge lollipops, ring pops, baby bottles filled with more sugar, sugar-spun cotton in different colors, but only a few plastic eggs with candy bummer and adorably bright sunday shirts.
here's a few photos of Ben and Joe at the city hunt, both with full baskets! LOOK at Joe's haul! Don't worry that was really the parents basket that Ben's using Peter brought him his own "better" basket the next morning. thanks to jess and gavin, and anne and her kids for having lots of fun rolling down the hill and helping Joe empty his eggs! that would have been tough if it had just been him. here's a group shot of all of us in our easter decor Joe's in green Ben's in blue, and then the kids posing by grandpa's plane after the 2nd hunt.I think by the time the 3rd hunt came around the boys were less interested in finding eggs and more interested in what was in the eggs the had already found. it's amazing how candy multiplies! we left our home with a quart sized bowl of candy to fill the eggs with, and came home with enough candy to fill a gallon sized pot, it's a coincidence because this is the same pot we've been using since halloween to hide the candy in from before, now we'll have to whittle it back down. Hopefully before halloween! We didn't get to color eggs but not for the lack of me wanting to, I just realized that we'd need to eat them all, but thankfully my sister and her son Cole (the other boy in the above photo)colored some that we were able to take home and make yummy egg-salad sandwiches from. I always remembered having egg-salad sammies after the easter hunts of my youth with pickles on the side, mmmmm while the grown-ups went back outside to make sure we'd gotten all the eggs :) and here's some extra photos of my loved ones can you tell which ones were taken after dinner???
